TurnAround hosts a variety of events in the community designed to raise awareness of sexual assault and domestic violence and to raise money for TurnAround. Each year we have three core events that are run almost entirely by volunteers.

Steppin’ Out in Black and White
Every March TurnAround friends and family gather to enjoy an evening of great food, dance, and of course company. Steppin’ Out raises crucial funds that allow TurnAround to help victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse begin their journey to healing. The event features a live and silent auction, food from dozens of local restaurants, a live band, and complimentary drinks. Steppin' Out in Black & White is on hiatis until 2013.

Take Back the Night
Each April TurnAround and WAVE participate in this nation wide tradition. Take Back the Night is a rally and march designed to raise awareness in the community about sexual violence and to honor survivors. In addition, WAVE members participate in a variety of awareness events throughout the City and County in April.

Metamorphosis
To Honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, TurnAround sponsors Metamorphosis, an evening of art and activism. The event generally features spoken-word artists, dance performances, and an engaging town hall meeting. We’re always in need of performers, artists, and new and exciting venues.
