Victim Advocate Program
A 24-hour service that provides hospital accompaniment by a trained advocate
who offers support and information to victims of sexual assault and domestic
violence at the hospital where they are being treated.
Community Education
& Training
Provides educational programs and professional training on issues
of child abuse, sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating violence and domestic
abuse.
Abuser Intervention Program
A primarily court ordered program for domestic violence offenders that follows
a national model.
Emergency Shelter
Temporary emergency shelter providing a safe environment, food, transportation
and clothing. Available by contacting the 24-hour hotline number.
Transitional
Housing
Short term housing for families who have left violent situations and are working
towards self-sufficiency.
Legal Program
Legal consultation on family law matters, and representation for protective
order hearings.
On-Site School Programs
Therapeutic groups are available for elementary, middle and high school students.
Community Anti-Violence Project (CAVP)
Addresses violence in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.
Survivors' Network & Trauma Prevention Program
Provides services to survivors and women at a high risk for sexual violence including
free self-defense classes, leadership training, fitness resources, and support
groups at community sites.
Women Against Violence Everywhere (WAVE)
A group of survivors and supporters of survivors who raise awareness of sexual
and domestic violence in the Baltimore community. The group plans and manages
a variety of events that reach out to other survivors including participating
in a Speaker’s Bureau.
