Marc has served on the Board since 2021.
Marc Broady has public service in his blood. His grandfather, the Hon. Robert B. Watts worked as a civil rights lawyer alongside Thurgood Marshall and went on to become the first Black judge on Baltimore’s Municipal Court.
Following in those illustrious footsteps, Marc completed his J.D. at Maryland Carey Law, his grandfather’s alma mater, in 2016 working during the day as a data and budget specialist for Baltimore City Schools and attending law school at night. Prior to law school, Marc worked for the Mayor’s Office of CitiStat under Mayors Dixon and Rawlings-Blake.
After law school, Marc served as Senior Counsel and Policy Adviser U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings for his final three years representing Maryland’s 7th district.
With his ingrained community spirit, Broady also volunteers on multiple boards, including MPGV, Center Club, We, Our, Us and ROCA, a program designed to help high-risk young men transform their lives to reduce gun violence
