In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, on Friday, October 18, 2024, join us as TurnAround, Inc. presents the release of the 15th annual Purple Poetry Book featuring original poetry and artwork by survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and human trafficking.
This year, Purple Poetry Book will be unlike any other. TurnAround will host an 8-hour release event where survivors and the Baltimore community will participate in a day of optional workshops, collective art projects, fellowship, and sharing while enjoying FREE lunch and delightful treats and beverages anytime throughout the day.
Attendees will also have the chance to win exciting prizes that celebrate book lovers and local survivor-centered businesses, as well as purchase this year’s limited, available copies of TurnAround’s Purple Poetry Book 2024.
Please note that all proceeds for the Purple Poetry book will go to TurnAround, Inc., Baltimore City, and Baltimore County designated rape crisis center, whose mission is to educate, advocate for, and empower all people impacted by intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking.
