Brynez Roane is a Certified Domestic Violence Advocate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified (LCSW-C), and Board Approved Supervisor in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. She has a Doctor of Philosophy from Morgan State University (May 2016), a Master of Social Work from Howard University (December 2004), and a Bachelor of Social Work from Morgan State University (May 2003).
Dr. Roane has proudly worked in the field of Social Work for over 20 years. She has worked in child welfare, non-profit agencies, and community mental health settings. Dr. Roane is an advocate for social justice, committed to helping those who are disadvantaged.
As a community advocate, Dr. Roane serves on multiple boards, which include the Baltimore County Child Protection Board, Secretary of Baltimore County Delta Foundation, Vice President of Creating and Inspiring Change Community Board, RICA Baltimore, and Psalm 23 International Ministries. In addition, Dr. Roane is also a member of Leadership Baltimore County and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc,-Baltimore County Alumnae Chapter.
Dr. Roane’s passion has always been in empowering, educating, and enlightening everyone that she connects with to understand their own wellness and how to support others in their personal wellness journey. This includes discussions around mental health, trauma, and the intersection of the two.
