Extreme Risk Protective Orders

Extreme Risk Protective Orders (ERPO)

TurnAround provides education and support around the use of Maryland’s Extreme Risk Protective Orders (ERPO). ERPOs are legal tools designed to temporarily restrict an individual’s access to firearms when they pose a significant risk of harm to themselves or others.

Our team approaches this work with the same compassion and commitment to safety that guides all of TurnAround’s services. We help community members, survivors, and professionals understand how ERPOs work, who can file, and what to expect from the process.

Through outreach, training, and resources, TurnAround strives to ensure that individuals know their rights and have access to life-saving options. Our goal is to empower communities with knowledge and support, fostering safety and preventing future harm.
