Charima Young

Charima has served on the board since 2024. Charima has over 20 years of combined experience in community relations, outreach, philanthropy, and advocacy. She has served on several boards, including the Centre County United Way, and was appointed a Commissioner to former Governor Tom Wolf’s (PA) Pennsylvania State Law Enforcement Citizen Advisory Commission in 2021.

Charima lives in Montgomery County, MD, and is an avid runner and enjoys hiking. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Spelman College, a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a professional certificate in nonprofit management from Duke University.
