TurnAround is the rape crisis center for Baltimore City and County. We provide counseling and support services to those impacted by sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and human trafficking.
About Us
Incorporated in 1978 to serve survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence in Baltimore County, we expanded to provide services in Baltimore in 1995. Three years later as we celebrated 20 years of leadership in the field, the agency’s name was changed to Second Step, Inc. Then, in 2000, we became TurnAround, Inc., the first place to turn. In 2011, the agency launched a comprehensive anti-human trafficking program – the first of its kind in the state.
